Not a bad haul

Times Read: 843

Heman Season 1 box-set (cartoon from the 80's)

All three lord of the ring novels in audiobook format (46 cd's)

New Batman T-shirt

A new coat

Shirt + Tie combo

Cologne

Money

Uncharted 2

Vagabond manga issues 29 and 30.

I was going to make a much more elaborate and detailed and less materialistic entry for this but I am all stuffed up and lazy at the moment. Rest assured that the version of this post I had in my head was very whimsical and light hearted and didn't paint me in such a present hungry light but as I said I am not in the mood for the effort that would require. Maybe later.

War(hammer) wounds

00:22 Dec 18 2009
Times Read: 914

Yesterday I bought Flannery her first Warhammer regiment. She decided to collect the Skaven armies, for those of you interested.

I myself got 5 new Chaos Knights.

While working on aforementioned knights today I was using a stanley blade when it slipped and I brought it down very heavily on the top of my thumb so now I have nice little gash running vertically down the top of my thumb and upper regions of my thumb nail.

See below for location of cut. The cut itself isn't much to look at however it is deep and in an awkward position.

Clash of the Titans, Robin hood and Red Dawn.

What do these films have in common?

Needless remakes. Why can no one write an original story anymore, must everything be a remake of a remake of a remake?

I like shitty special F/x, grainy film and less than crystal clear sound. Don't these stupid producers realize that part of the appeal of a lot of these movies is the mood they set and the gritty feel of the movie as a whole.

I am growing more and more weary of these rich assholes making sub-standard versions of films I like simply to make money. They have no interest in re-telling the story or expanding on the lore. These remakes are simply ATM's to these people.

I did not know they were remaking any of these movies...I have the original films - and like the old ones myself...Can you imagine how badly they are going to ruin the movies remaking them?

Men In Tights was a necessary remake of Robin Hood.

I'm with you guys. Like I have said on so many occasions, if you think you are so smart you can make something that was already good, better, then make something NEW.
